4 Easy Ways to Brighten Your Smile

If your smile isn’t looking quite as bright as you’d like it to, there’s no reason to feel self-conscious about it anymore. Check out HC’s four favorite ways to whiten our teeth and see which method appeals to you:

1. Crest 3D 2-Hour Express Whitestrips: When you want whiter teeth but don’t have much time, Crest 3D 2-Hour Express Whitestrips are ideal. To use, fold the whitestrips over your teeth and wear them for two hours. They’re infused with peroxide, which removes stains from below your teeth’s surface to create a brighter smile. Results last for up to three months. If the idea of daily whitening strips sounds too high-maintenance, this might be the perfect option for you. Crest Whitestrips are available online and at most drugstores. They retail for approximately $40 – $50.

2. Whitening toothpastes: Whitening toothpastes can’t change the natural color of your teeth or reverse discoloration, but they may be able to remove small stains on the surface of your teeth. Be careful: while whitening toothpastes may help brighten your smile, overusing them may damage tooth enamel – so be careful!

3. DuWop’s Blue Venom: This product is too cool to pass up! DuWop is famous for their lip plumping glosses; their new gloss, Blue Venom, has a subtle blue tint to make your teeth look whiter by comparison. A perfect pout and whiter teeth all in one? It’s a total no-brainer – it arrives at Sephora this month for $17.

4. Avoid stains in the first place: Rather than attempt to whiten your teeth after they’ve been stained, stay away from things that cause stains in the first place! Smoking is the fastest way to stain your teeth, but coffees, teas, sodas, and fruit juices can also cause discoloration.

Have you ever tried to whiten your teeth? Which method did you choose? How were your results?
