I’ll admit it, I wasn’t much of a crafter until Pinterest. I did the occasional painting of pottery and decorating a frame, but anything beyond that seemed impossible to me. However over the summer I learned how easy and fun crafting can be! Here are some of the best crafts on Pinterest, so complete one (or all) of them, and let your creativity go crazy!
1. Crayon on Canvas

This is probably one of the most popular crafts on Pinterest, and it’s the easiest! All you need is a canvas from your local craft store, a box of crayons, hot glue, and a hair dryer. I did this over the summer, and it took about 10-15 minutes. The key to this craft is the hot glue; don’t try anything else. I tried using tape the first time, and it was a disaster. The best thing about this craft is that you can use the entire box of crayons or several shades of your favorite color.
2. Enamel-Painted Vases

Simply pour enamel paint into any clear vase (you can get them at any craft store) and paint the inside. It might take a couple coats, but after it dries it makes any room chic!
3. Map Art

Being at college means being away from your home, maybe even your home state. With this craft you can represent where you come from in an asthetically pleasing way. This pin leads you to a website where you can print out maps of any state (the link recommends photo paper) and place it on a clear frame.
4. Chalkboard Mug

Since it’s getting colder, every collegiette needs a cute mug to fill with her apple cider. The chalkboard mug is a great way to have fun and change it up everyday. All you need is a plain mug and some chalk paint. How simple is that?
5. Button Monogram

Make your room your own with this cute craft. You can do a letter or your name (but you’ll need a lot of buttons) to make your room pop! The variety of buttons gives your letter more character, so start looking because you’re guaranteed gawking visitors with this craft.
