This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.
You first move in and you’re like
You realize there are no RAs, which means no quiet hours
But when things get out of hand, it’s the police knocking on your door
You can have as many people over as you want
But when randoms start pulling from your Rubi, you’re like
You get to go grocery shopping with all your roomies
But quickly realize that cooking may not be your experience
You finally no longer have to worry about safety checks (Christmas lights, anyone?)
But when the fire alarms go off, it is not a drill (Stay calm)
You don’t have to memorize codes or worry about swiping in past midnight
But, wow, those keys get lost so easily
You get to go home after class (and no, that doesn’t mean to Newton)
But when you have to wake up 20 minutes earlier to walk to campus, you’re like
All is fun and games until you actually have to clean and take out trash
You may have signed on that house a year in advanced
But you’re so glad you did.
