If you are anything like me, then you are loving the newest hair color that seems to be sweeping the nation: the gray hair trend. What a lot people don’t seem to understand (i.e. my mom) is that incorporating gray into your hair does not mean you have to look like you are aging prematurely. There are plenty of ways to consciously incorporate gray in your hairstyle in a very fashion forward manner.Â
1. Incorporate a colorÂ
If you are not quite ready to commit to the full gray look, but are still willing to try something new and fun, trying mixing in a little color with the gray. You can give gray-blue, gray-purple, or some other mix a try. Have fun with it!
2) Try a gray ombre
By now, everyone knows about ombre, a trend that seems to have emerged over the past 4 or so years. Instead of going full gray, make a gradual transition with a black-to-gray ombre.
3) Try incorporating just a stripÂ
If you are not ready to fully commit to dying your hair completely, then make a smaller commitment and trying dying your hair gray in just a small strip. This can be placed in a variety of different areas. You can frame your face with it, include a small section somewhere along the side, or die a chunk gray that is hidden unless you decide to wear your hair in a ponytail.
4. Or, just go fully gray and rock it
If you truly want the full gray look, then who cares about anyone who tries to stop you? After all, it is just a hair color and if you look hot rocking this trend (and you do) then go for it!
