Let’s be real; college is the place where the black plague originated. Once someone has it, we all have it. From the stomach flu to sinus infections, we’ve all had our share of sneezing and coughing this semester. Here is what it’s really like being sick at school:
1. What you think when you first get sick
You already know what’s coming. There is no stopping it. Orange juice isn’t going to help this time.
2. When you go to class and people ask how you are
I’m only going to this class because the professor takes attendence.
3. The look people give you when you blow your nose
Oh, you don’t like the sound of never-ending mucus?
4. When your friends ask if you need anything
I need my mom to take care of me and check my forehead every hour please.
5. When you are too weak to do anything with your day
This is it. This is how I’m going to go.
6. When you finally go to the doctor
“Are you sure it’s not allergies?”
7. That first sign that you are getting better
Hallelujah! Improvement is near!
8. Finally being able to stomach solid food
One can only consume so much chicken noodle soup.
9. When the dull, gross sickness in your face is gone
The dull, slimy face is gone. Time to look flawless again.
10. When someone coughs near you when you are finally better
I JUST GOT OVER MY PLAGUE I WILL HURT YOU IF YOU COME NEAR ME WITH YOUR DISEASE.
