Easter Candies That Make Great Leftovers

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Quinnipiac chapter.

Now that the Easter holiday has passed us, ladies, it’s time to address the never-ending hankering for sweet stuff that follows some of us like a shadow.  It’s hard not to love candy, even if it’s leftover from holiday celebrations from a few days (or weeks?) ago!  Below is a list of the best treats to munch on until finals.  Here’s to hoping we don’t all end up looking like this little guy!

Peeps:

How can you not love Peeps?  It doesn’t get much better than a bunny or bird-shaped marshmallow covered in pure neon sugar.

Cadbury Mini Eggs:

You can never just have one of these.  So addicting.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg:

If you love the original Reese’s peanut butter cups, you will love these even more for the cute Easter egg shape.

Jelly beans:

You either love ‘em or hate ‘em.  I love ‘em (except for the black, purple, and white ones.)

The classic chocolate bunny:

A bunny made out of chocolate…yum.  This delish snack is a classic in everyone’s Easter basket.

There’s always the option of taking your love for these leftover candies to the next level and whipping up creative recipes in the kitchen.  (Check out Pinterest for yummy recipes!)  Also, tweet us @hercampusqu and tell us about your favorite Easter candies!  Which ones are better the next day?
