After hearing about the harsh winter of 2015 and watching the footage on the TV from sunny Southern California, I had many questions about what a winter in the Northeast would actually be like. While I have seen snow and have been in cold weather, I needed to see the winter months from an East Coast point of view. I asked for some reality checks from a Massachusetts local and this is what I found…

A winter wonderland

Expectation:

Reality:

Flip flops are still year-round footwear

Expectation:

Reality:

Cute winter outfits

Expectation:

Reality:

Snow days

Expectation:

Reality:

The perfect snowman

Expectation:

Reality:

Pretty snow pictures

Expectation:

Reality:

Why do people keep telling me I can’t leave my room with wet hair?

Expectation:

Reality:

And why is my hair all static-y?

Expectation:

Reality:

Hot drinks on a regular basis

Expectations:

Reality:

How long does winter last?

Expectation:

Reality:

Hopefully you don’t get hit by these harsh realities this winter!
