Having trouble finishing off that perfect outfit for your night out on the town? Fret no longer, I have the perfect solution for you. Add that “Wow” factor to any great outfit with the perfect nail design! Chevron to french, colored tips to elegent neutral- you name it and it can be done! There is a DIY solution for just about every nail design out there. Add a pop of color to your simplistic neutral get up with the half diagonal design of neon and beige. Simply paint the whole nail a natural beige color of your choice and let it dry completely. Once the nail is completely dry, put a piece of tape over half of the nail in a diagonal direction. Then paint the other half of the nail a bright, neon orange color, or any other neon color of your choice. And voila!
Another great emerging nail trend is the half moon of the nail painted a different color from the rest of the nail. A super easy DIY way to accomplish this great look is to paint the whole nail the color you want the half moon to be. After letting it completely dry, you put a round circle sticker sticking over halfway at the cuticle of the nail to form the half moon shape. Then you paint over the whole nail with a different color of your choice. Once all the nails have dried fully, you can peel off the stickers and have some killer looking nails! Everyone will be in awe seeing that you accomplished this look on your own.Â
If you’re going for a more classy looking nail, try the modern french manicure. First, start off painting the whole nail with a light beige color and let it fully dry. Then, take two pieces of tape and arrange them diagonally so they form an upside down V shape over the nail, leaving some uncovered space at the tip of the nail to paint. Then paint over the uncovered part at the tip of the nail with black. Once letting it dry, peel off the tape and have fabulous, chic looking nails!
Maybe you’re not one to ever really paint your nails or it isn’t allowed in the work place. No problem! You can achieve great looking natural nails in a heartbeat. All you need are clippers, cuticle cutter, cuticle oil, nail file, a nail buffer, and your basic clear coat (you can even go sparkly). First start off by clipping your nails to the length of your desire. Next move on the one of the least desireable manicure steps, cuticle cutting. Use the cuticle cutter to push back and remove the excess cuticle skin. Once all of the nails are at proper length with clean cuticles, file them into the shape of your choice or file them to just smooth out the edges left behind from the clippers. After filing your nails, go over them with the nail buffer. The best buffer to use is one with two or three different sides, each with different purposes. First start out with the buffing side (roughest one). Then move on to the smoothing side. Lastly, shine them all up with the sleek, shine side. After your nails are looking clean as a button, rub each nail with the soothing cuticle oil. After massaging the oil into the cuticles, wash your hands thoroughly to completely remove all excess oil. The last step to getting beautiful nails is applying a clear coat to top it all off. Once that dries, you are ready to go with your nails in mint condition
