The Magical Oil That You Should Be Using For Everything

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UW Stout chapter.

It was last year when I first discovered argan oil. At first, I just thought it was going to be another one of those hair oils that just make your hair greasy looking. However, it is more comparable to a genie in a bottle, as Christina Aguilera would say. Here are some of the fantastic ways that argan oil can be used for.

Mascara

Argon oil in mascara can do wonders. Not only will it help in making your eyelashes longer, but in addition, it will give them a nice black color and keep them healthy and full. You can buy mascara with argan oil in it already, or you can just put a few drops of it in your mascara of choice and you’ll be good. It is a healthier option for mascara since regular mascara is known to make eyelashes brittle.   Shampoo and Conditioner

Showering every day can really take a toll on healthy hair, often making it dry and flaky. Once again, argan oil saves the day. Purchasing argan oil infused shampoo and conditioner can moisturize hair and keep it shiny, without it making it look oily. And as an added plus, it smells amazing.

Leave in Hair Oil

After you have showered with your argan oil shampoo and conditioner, you will be ready to spray some argan oil onto your damp hair. Again, it smells good and it will heal dead and dry ends while adding a beautiful silky shine.

Skin

Argan oil even goes beyond hair, it moisturizes skin and reduces itchiness and flakiness. It can be used a primer for makeup, or even as an overnight treatment for a dry face. It should only be used in moderation of the face or else acne may appear due to oil on the skin.

I highly recommend argan oil for its restorative properties and its multiple uses. When in doubt, use argan oil!
