Best Dressed Stars at the Grammy Awards 2013

Musical icons graced the red carpet once again yesterday for the 55th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. I was completely blown away by the performances, between Justin Timberlake bringing more than sexy back and Mumford and Sons proving that they did indeed deserve to win Album of the Year. But before the music stole the show, the stars’ attire had my full attention whether it was with elegant gowns that classed up the red carpet, or the more risqué, chic outfits that brought in a bit of flair. So now it’s time for the only thing more fun that the actual awards shows: the rundown of the hottest looks and best-dressed stars. Enjoy!

Beyoncé in OSMAN by Osman Yousefzada

Who runs the world? Beyoncé, and she knows it. After her dynamite performance at the Super Bowl half time show, Beyoncé graced us with her presence again in a simple, but bold black and white blocked outfit that perfectly complimented her figure and reminded us all that she is the ultimate diva.

Rihanna In Azzedine Alaia

The red carpet and the Grammy’s had nothing on Rihanna’s sultry red dress. It combined the perfect amount sexy, sheer fabric, but the cut wasn’t too provocative. That resulted in a breathtaking, romantic look (just in time for Valentine’s Day!). It also was a beautiful compliment to her ombré hair and her classic red lips made the look complete.

Kelly Rowland In Georges Chakra Couture

Kelly reminded us all that she still had it going on when she performed at the Super Bowl, and then she did it again with this dress. Not only are the sheer cut out lines eye-catching and powerful, but they are placed in just the right way to create an overall appealing look. Only to be worn by someone with total confidence, there is no doubt that Kelly rocked this look.

Chrissy Teigen In Joy Ciocci

Bare midriffs can be risky especially at classy award shows like the Grammy’s, but I am definitely a fan of this look. She’s showing a lot of skin between her stomach and the high cut up her leg, but the lacy material and modest top keep the outfit looking elegant. A daring style executed perfectly!

Katy Perry in Gucci

This stunning sea foam green is a gorgeous compliment to Katy’s fair complexion and dark hair. Keeping the makeup and hairstyle simple and the overall shape of the gown modest, the design on the collar and the low-cut neckline is stunning.

Taylor Swift in J Mendel

White doesn’t always mean innocence, especially with this dress that utilizes strong lines, low cuts, and high slits. The subtle silver sparkle adds just the right touch of flair, but the overall look surely must have made the boys she writes songs about jealous that they are never, ever getting back together.

Carrie Underwood in Roberto Cavalli

Carrie’s gown for the walk down the red carpet was gorgeous, with the understated, but down-right beautiful black and sheer design. But when she stepped on the stage to sing “Two Black Cadillacs” in a dress decorated with moving animations, she stole the show. I don’t know which was more impressive: her incredible voice that gave me goose bumps or the ingenuity of her futuristic, LED dress. Whichever it was, I will be watching videos of her performance all day.

Justin Timberlake

The ladies did just fine in the wardrobe department, but let’s not forget about the men. Oh JT, you did your stint in the movies but we are so glad to see you back on stage with your falsetto voice and superb dance moves. He stepped back into to the game with a good old-fashioned classic style, not only with his tuxedo but also with his performance of “Suit & Tie.” The bowtie, white and black shoes, and pocket handkerchief, pulled everything together to complete the look of hot, manly elegance.

Mumford and Sons

While JT dressed to impress in formal wear, Mumford and Sons took a different, more relaxed approach to their wardrobe. Fitting for their folk/rock music, the band members didn’t dress in suits and ties but still had plenty of style in their outfits. Between a studly, green leather jacket to a purple and gold handkerchief, I’d say that the Mumford men deserve a shout out for their fashionable outfits on top of their award winning album, Babel.
