I am a huge fan of brunch — from avocado toast to a savory burger to sipping mimosas with friends — it is easily one of my favorite things to do. I’ve been able to visit some places in Providence that have satisfied these cravings, so here are my top three picks that are definitely worth the try!
1. Federal Taphouse and Kitchen
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Federal Hill, so I am happy to eat here at anytime if I go out with friends. They serve brunch every weekend and have amazing options to choose from on their menu, including bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys for those that are 21+, which could be a perfect addition to your meal. In addition to brunch, their lunch and dinner menus have amazing food, so I highly recommend checking it out!
2. Ellie’s
Ellie’s is a small Parisian-style café located in the heart of Downtown Providence. They offer avocado toast (my favorite here!), breakfast sandwiches, salads, and even macarons that you can take with you to-go. The service is really good for those looking to have a quick service meal, and being right across the street from the Providence Performing Arts Center, it is a nice spot to eat before going to see a show at the theater.
3. Julian’s
Also located in Federal Hill, they have classics like pancakes, omelets, and eggs benedicts, but I also love that they offer vegan meals such as vegan french toast and tofu scramble. With a decent list of brunch cocktails and mimosas to choose from on top of the food, this restaurant is quite popular downtown, so I highly recommend taking advantage of the menu’s delightful options and visiting with family or friends gone weekend.
