Nothing is more comforting with the cold weather approaching than sitting in a cafe (Dog Lane for the win!) with a warm drink and a good book. These are some of my favorite fall reads that will keep you turning the pages.
*Spoiler free*
1) The Seven husbands of evelyn hugo by taylor jenkins reid
This romance-meets-coming-of-age story checks all the boxes. This book was impossible to put down, but its strategic organization made it easy to break up into a few reading sessions. The shifts in perspective between Hollywood star Evelyn Hugo and journalist Monique Grant allow the reader to fully understand Evelyn, making it the perfect romance that will leave you wanting more to read.Â
2) Book lovers by emily henry
This contemporary romance may be the best book I’ve read all year. The heartwarming relationship between literary agent Nora Stephens and her sister, Libby, as well as the classic small-town trope with book editor Charlie Lastra, make this the perfect book to cozy up with as the UConn weather seemingly shifts to winter in October.
3) Beach read by emily henry
Emily Henry’s contemporary romances have turned into some of my favorite stories. And this story is not just for the beach! Also containing main characters in the book world, Beach Read follows authors January Andrews and Augustus Everett, who live in neighboring houses on a lake for the summer.
4) It ends with us by colleen hoover
This was the first Colleen Hoover book I’ve read, and it won’t be the last. Everything about this book made me keep reading, and I think I finished it within two reading sessions. It has incredibly important and relevant messages for the reader while encompassing more than one romance. The sequel comes out in mid-October from a different character’s perspective, and that will be a must-read.Â
Happy reading!
