With fall and winter break coming up, I need to have my Netflix watch list ready to go. The bad part? I never know what to watch or I’ve seen it all already. If you’re in the same position as me, I got you. Here are some of Netflix’s recent releases that are sure to keep you entertained. Get the fuzzy socks and TV remote ready.

Netflix Originals

True Crime Buffs

DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffery Dahmer Story has been riding Netflix’s number-one spot for the past few weeks now. Emmy-winning actor Evan Peters stars as the lead role of Dahmer in this true crime hit series. The show is one of the most accurate tellings of events that occurred in Dahmer’s apartment of horrors. Watch at your own risk. Along with this series, Netflix just released Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes (Limited Series). The series is exactly as it sounds. Jeffery Dahmer confesses to the monstrous acts he committed through the telling of interviews. It’s chilling to hear it from him directly.

If you’re sick of hearing about Dahmer, Netflix also released Sins of Our Mother. After Lori Vallow’s kids vanished, suspicious deaths and murder soon followed. It’s haunting, to say the very least.

With the family

Palate cleanser! Phew, that was dark, but luckily there are lighthearted new releases that you can watch with the whole family. The latest season of Nailed It! was recently released. It’s Halloween-themed too, so perfect timing for spooky season. It’s a feel-good competition show about bakers that can’t bake. Floor Is Lava also has a new season!

Reality tv lovers

It’s okay if drama-filled reality TV is your guilty pleasure (it’s mine too). Luckily, Netflix has a vast selection. Selling Sunset is a popular luxury real estate reality tv show based in West Hollywood. They have a new office in Orange County. New realtors mean new drama, and you can check it all out in Selling the OC, the Selling Sunset spin-off.

Bling Empire, a TV show that peaks into the life of a group of affluent Asian Americans in the Los Angeles area now has a season three (so you have plenty of episodes to binge-watch). Netflix describes the show as the real-life Crazy Rich Asians.

Familiar Favorites

There’s nothing wrong with going back to the classics. Some familiar favorites that you can now find on Netflix include Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Rush Hour, Miss Congeniality, Risky Business, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

Starring big names

Maya Hawke is becoming our favorite it girl, thanks to her killer performance in Stranger Things. She stars in the new Netflix Original, Do Revenge, alongside costar Camila Mendes, best known for playing Veronica in Riverdale.

There’s a high chance Timothee Chalamet is your celebrity crush (maybe I’m just speaking for myself). Anyway, the media cannot seem to kick their fascination with the actor. One of his most notable roles is officially available on the streaming platform. Call Me by Your Name received an impressive 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s an LGBTQ+ romance drama that is sure to pull at your heartstrings and leave you needing a box of tissues or two.

With the endless amount of content available on Netflix, it’s difficult to get straight to the good stuff. Hopefully, this gives you a place to begin as we sorted through some of their most recent releases. If all else fails, you can always rewatch Breaking Bad for the 100th time (that’s what I do at least).
