Lindsay Lohan’s New Movie and Everything Else Coming to Netflix This Month

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

Lindsay Lohan is returning to the big screen in her new Netflix movie Falling for Christmas. Lohan plays a hotel heiress who acquires amnesia after an unfortunate skiing accident and is nursed back to health by the local (and very handsome) lodge owner, played by Chord Overstreet, and his daughter during the Christmas season. This marks her first big acting role in almost 10 years and not only did she star in the movie, but also served as a producer. This is in part due to the three-picture movie deal she signed with Netflix in March of 2022, which also means we have two other Lohan movies in or soon to be in production. Unfortunately, Lohan’s newest movie doesn’t come out until Nov. 10, but here are some other shows and movies coming to the streaming service this month to hold you over until the big day.

In honor of spooky season, Netflix has graciously gifted us with a plethora of new movies and shows to get us in the Halloween spirit. On Oct. 13, the fourth and final season of The Sinner is set to be released. Also on this date, a new limited series called The Watcher is set to debut which follows a couple who starts to receive threatening letters after moving into what they thought was their dream home. The scariest part about this series is that it was based on a true story. Another newly released horror film is Mr. Harrigan’s Phone based on the Stephen King short novel so you already know it’s going to be scary. If you’re interested in more light-hearted spooky suggestions, both Scooby-Doo live-action films have already arrived on Netflix and are available for streaming now. Or if you’re looking for something new to watch, The School for Good and Evil premieres on Oct. 19 and stars powerhouse names like Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron and Sofia Wylie.

If you are not in the mood for any spookiness, don’t worry Netflix has also got you covered. On Oct. 1, Netflix released lots of classics including Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen, all three Rush Hour movies, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, 17 Again and my personal favorite How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Series-wise many shows are coming out with new seasons in the next couple of weeks. The third and final season of Derry Girls finally arrived on Netflix on Oct. 7. If you are in the mood for some true crime, the third volume of Unsolved Mysteries releases on Oct. 18. And for all you Big Mouth fans, the new season comes out on Oct. 28. Don’t worry all you baking fanatics, Netflix has got some shows for you too. The seventh season of Nailed It premiered Oct. 5 and every Friday throughout this month, new episodes of The Great British Baking Show will be released.

Hopefully, somewhere in this list, you have found something to watch this month. If not, you can always look forward to Lindsay Lohan’s new movie which I am sure will be so fetch!
