The Must Have Shoes for a Stony Brook Fall

Hello beautiful seawolves, I’m sure you have noticied the air getting crisp and the leaves turning colors. Fall on Long Island is truly the superior season, however, the weather can be difficult to navigate with cool mornings and warm sunny afternoons. Picking a fall shoe can be difficult because you want something that is comfortable on campus and on fall adventures.

A pair of chucks

I’m sure you are getting sick of me saying this, but a pair of platform chucks can work with almost any outfit. For comfy fall looks style a pair of white platform converse with black leggings and an oversized brown sweater. The perfect outfit for grabbing a PSL with your besties and go shopping, there’s nothing like wandering the isles of target in a cute fall fit.

A pair of boots

Because its inevitable that you will end up on a pumpkin farm during the fall season. I love lug booties for a cute look. The thick sole keeps your feet off of the chilly ground. Pair them with a pair of ripped mom jeans and a flannel, the perfect outfit to transition from pumpkin patch to brunch.

A pair of mini uugs

They’re back! Does anyone else remember feeling like an “it girl” in tall uugs in middle school. These toasty boots are perfect for morning classes when the air has a chill. Style them with an oversized sweatshirt and flare leggings to still feel cute during those 8 am classes.

A pair of loafers

The dark academia vibe of loafers and cute dress is perfect for fall. Style them with a cute black dress, black tights and white scrunched up socks for a preppy vibe on the warmer days of fall. This look combines the darkeness of fall with the academic vibe of midterms. You could even add a wtiches hat for a last minute party look!

Birkenstock clogs

These have been all over TikTok in daily wear posts as inspiration. These clogs are chunky, yet still simple in thier basic design and muted tones. They are undoubtedly a comfy piece to add to your wardrobe. Style them with a pair of straight jeans, a big sweater and comfy socks, of course.
