I do this thing where

I can’t seem to

find the words 

find a way

I can’t seem to 

just start 

I need to 

make every sentence

make every line

make every word

feel right

feel good

fit.

I doubt

I rewrite

I overthink

I second guess

every stanza,

it’s tiring

it’s too much work

it’s exhausting.

I just want to write, 

but I always get in the way,

so I need to stop thinking.
