Have you made your Thanksgiving plans yet? Are you staying at home this year or traveling to see family and friends? It’s the holiday season, and there’s so much to plan.
If you’re dressing up this year, I have makeup looks for you to help loosen your load and help and save you time with the thought process because trying to find a cute makeup look can be hard for holidays. If you’re planning on going natural, then that’s OK too.
- gold and bold

If you like to go all out for Thanksgiving with a fancy outfit and well-done hair, then try out this look here.
With Thanksgiving, use the fall leaves and colors to help inspire your look. If you’re really artistic, you can try to draw some leaves, pumpkins or even turkeys. I think adding them around the crease and brow area would tie the look together and would make you a standout at the table.
I really like this idea for a look because you have the autumn leaves to outline the eye shape and the burnt orange and gold colors to show off the classic Thanksgiving colors. The jewels are also a nice touch, and adding some false lashes would be a total “chef’s kiss” look.
- brown, brown and more brown
-
October is the month for orange, dark reds and dark greens. For the month of November, all I can think of is orange and brown.
Having a bold lip look can pull together your whole makeup look, but it does pose a challenge for this “food heavy” holiday. For myself, my lipstick or lipgloss tends to wear off after drinking and eating food, so I’m always struggling to buy brands of lipstick that will actually last. I have found that buying lip products from Tarte, Charlotte Tilbury and Fenty Beauty tend to last longer and they can help with peeling.
I think wearing brown lipstick with some glitter or shine can really make your lips pop. Brown is an overlooked color, and I think it can be so pretty and sophisticated. Throw in some dark brown shades on the eyes or make the contour a nice, deep brown.
- The “no makeup” makeup look
-
If you’re keeping it simple this year but still want to look put together, try a very simple look. All you really need is some moisturizer, sunscreen (always put it on), an eyebrow pencil, some mascara and maybe some blush if you want to make your cheeks rosy. I always try to add some highlighter in the inner corner of my eye with this kind of look in case I decide not to wear mascara.
You can do a “no makeup” makeup look in so many ways. Even adding a clear lipgloss would help make your lips pop if that’s what you want. This look has been trendy since last year, and it looks so clean and elegant.
If you want to keep the routine light for Thanksgiving, I would say wear this kind of look. You’ll look stunning.
Now, there’s plenty of more makeup look options out there for you, so don’t feel like these are the only ones that would look good. Thanksgiving can be a cozy holiday filled with sweatpants and watching the annual Thanksgiving football game or getting all glam to sit eat a nice dinner with friends and family. It’s totally up to you. Whatever you decide, you’ll look gorgeous anyway.
