With the holiday season slowly approaching, it’s time for college students to start booking their flights back home. This means many families will be surfing airline websites to find the cheapest flights available. However, the more you look, the more the prices seem to increase. One trick to avoid this is using the incognito setting when searching for flights. Incognito is a private browsing feature that allows the viewer to search the web through a temporary session that isolates it from the browser’s main session. This means that none of your browsing history, cookies, site data, or information entered in the forms will be saved to your device.

After you have the incognito feature on there, are a couple of websites you should use in order to find the most affordable flights. The first website I go to is Google Flights. This allows you to plug in dates and see which airline offers the most affordable flight. The Google Flights website also has a map feature where you can search flexible dates and see which airports are the cheapest to fly in and out of.

Another great website is Kayak which is an online travel agency. Kayak has several features that allow you to search for flights, hotels, and cars. I specifically like using Kayak for its flexible flight searches. Kayak takes deals from across the web and puts them all in one place. This allows viewers to compare their options for the same flight together. This is either directly from the airline or from other travel sites.

Check out these websites for a more efficient way to find the most affordable flights for the holiday season.
