10 Quick Thanksgiving Makeup Looks You Need To Try This Year

Getting ready for Thanksgiving can always be kind of chaotic. There are always a billion things to do! Some people are hosting their first Friendsgiving and finding the perfect fall party outfit, while others are packing to go back home to visit family. The one thing I never seem to have enough time for is my Thanksgiving makeup look. I always plan to do this exciting look, but I constantly lose track of time. There have been times when I had to literally run to finish my makeup while my family was arriving for dinner (I was so stressed!). But this year, I’m avoiding that extra holiday stress by planning ahead!

I’ve found some of the best quick and easy Thanksgiving makeup looks that anyone can try. So, don’t worry if you aren’t confident in your makeup skills yet! Whether you want a simple glam look or a bold pop of color, these tips will help you slay your Thanksgiving makeup look in just minutes!

Try out an easy subtle glitter eyeshadow.

This glowy makeup look can be done in literally seconds! Using the Makeup By Mario Master Crystal Reflector ($26), take a swipe of this glitter eyeshadow with your finger and press it right on your eyelids. That’s it — no brush or eyeshadow base is needed. It will give you a subtle glow that will transform any look. It’s also a lifesaver if you hate dealing with messy loose glitter. There’s no fallout here! And if you have extra time, add lashes or winged eyeliner to elevate this sparkly lid even more!

Make a bold statement with a simple red lipstick.

There’s no easier way to make a statement with your makeup than wearing bold red lipstick. It is perfect for the holidays and a quick way to add something extra to your look. Use your preferred red lipstick like the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color ($26) or the NYX Shine Loud Vegan High Shine Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick ($12) along with your fave lip liner to make it extra defined and long-lasting. This red lip is perfect for upgrading any soft glam look!

Get a quick bold color with a purple glam eyeshadow.

Another look that is perfect for the holidays is purple eyeshadow. This quick makeup look was done by TikTok user @afnandano by adding a couple of swipes of a creamy purple shadow on her eyelid. She uses the color Heart Shape Herbfrom the new MAC Eye Shadow X 8: Marvel Studios’ Black Panther Collection ($39). Want something more affordable?  I also love the Revlon ColorStay Crème Eyeshadow ($10). Then, add a matching gel liner on your top and lower lash line for a more dramatic effect. Simple as that! This is great for those who want a quick bold color, and the look can also be paired with a nude glossy lip.

Use gel pencils for an easy graphic eyeliner look.

If you love the graphic eyeliner trend and never have time to try it, this will be perfect! The Mac Colour Excess Gel Pencil Eyeliner ($23) will make this look super easy to recreate. TikTok user @stxph.h shows how you can use different colors to create simple graphic designs in no time! These liners are buildable, highly pigmented, and can double as an eyeshadow. This is perfect for those who love less traditional holiday looks that will show off your creativity!

Do the go-to viral glossy hot chocolate fall lips trend.

The glossy hot chocolate fall lips trend has been all the talk lately, and it has always been my go-to makeup hack for upgrading my fall makeup looks. You can do this using the TikTok viral Fenty Gloss Bomb Heat Universal Lip Luminizer + Plumper in Hot Chocolit ($24) with your favorite brown liner. I also love NYX Butter Gloss Non-Sticky Lip Gloss in Lava Cake ($5) as a more affordable option! This look will definitely give you that cozy holiday vibe.

Stand out with a multi-use orange blush.

If wearing orange eyeshadow isn’t your thing, try an orange blush! This look will add a simple vibrance to any skin tone in seconds. The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Love ($20) or the E.L.F Putty Cream Blush in Bahamas ($7) can be used normally as blush, or as eyeshadow and lipstick too! They are both highly pigmented, long-lasting, and great for those who are always short on time.

Try out the three-step pumpkin spice-inspired eyeshadow look.

This pumpkin spice-inspired makeup look will give you all the fall feels in just three easy steps. First, pack a rich orange shade on your eyelid. Next, blend a darker brown shade on your top and lower lash line. Lastly, add a shimmery gold shade on your inner corner to complete the look. The Too Faced Pumpkin Spice: Second Slice Sweet & Spicy Eye Shadow Palette ($54) or the E.L.F. Cosmetics Bite-Size Eyeshadow Palette in Pumpkin Pie ($3) will be great for achieving this look.

Try a quick sultry cinnamon look.

This sultry cinnamon makeup look uses lighter brown shades instead of dark. TikTok user @theninavee did this look by first adding a light warm brown shade to her lid with a simple cut-crease and a pop of glitter shadow in the middle. Next, she adds the usual foundation, concealer, contour, setting powder, blush, and highlighter, making it look extra bronzy. Lastly, she does a quick brown ombre lip with nude lipgloss and a light brown lip liner. The Tarte Sweet Tarte Double Shot Eyeshadow Palette ($29) or the ColourPop That’s Taupe Eyeshadow Palette ($14) will be essential for mastering this look. Pro tip: The NYX Butter Gloss Non-Sticky Lip Gloss in Cinnamon Roll ($5) can be used in a pinch if you don’t have enough time for an ombre lip.

Do the super easy smokey eye hack.

Smokey eyes are one of the most popular makeup looks, but it can take a while to truly perfect. But with this TikTok smokey eye hack, you can get this edgy look on Thanksgiving in just minutes. TikTok user @manifeelikeawatson uses a black crayon eyeliner to draw a curved line on your eyelid and fill it in (this Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in Black Fever ($3) is great). Next, blend it out with a fluffy brush. Then, take a light brown shade to finish blending out the edges. Lastly, clean up your edges and add a little more black shadow in the middle of your lid to intensify the look. Your smokey eye is now done within 10 minutes or less! You can also add glitter liner or lashes if you want it to look even more glam.

Add a bright pop of color to your inner corner.

Lastly, this bold eyeshadow look is something I do when I’m running low on time, but I still want to wear makeup. Instead of spending most of your time blending the shadow across your eyelid, only add a shadow to your inner corner. You can use a bright color like pink eyeshadow to make your eyes pop. The Juvia’s Place The Warrior III Eyeshadow Palette ($20) or the NYX Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette Brights ($18) has every colorful shade you need to complete the look. Now, you’re ready for Thanksgiving — in style!
