Places to go in Alaska

Alaska is a frozen wonderland for those who love the cold. To the few who love the outdoors and are ready to bundle up nice and warm. Here are 5 places you should visit on your trip there, all year round.

1. Fairbanks
   1. A place to go to in the summer and the winter. For the summer there is the  legendary midnight sun, where you get to experience almost 24 hours of sunlight. While coming in the winter will give you the opportunity to see the Northern Lights. Not only this because this town is close to the arctic circle, definitely book a sightseeing flight.

2. Kenai Fjords National Park
   1. With about 40 glaciers feeding into this National Park, it is a top of the list sightseeing tour. Its recommended to book an all day boat tour of the park to get the full experience. Also, make sure to watch for whales, sea lions and seals. 

3. Sitka
   1. If you like to fish, be in nature and history, this is the place to be. Lying in the shadow of a dormant volcano, and steeped in rich history. This is the place to come relax, or explore wildlife to your heart’s content.

4. Anchorage
   1. If you want to experience city life in alaska, come visit the largest city in Alaska. There you can tour around the museums and shops. If you want you could walk along the coast on the coastal trail that shows you the gorgeous skyline, mountains, and maybe some moose. 

5. Ketchikan
   1. If you love totem poles and find them intriguing, come to this historical town. This town has more totem poles than any other place in the world. Not only that, this is also called the “salmon capital of the world”. So come down to eat some salmon, see where it’s caught, and dabble in the rich history that is to offer.
