We *Finally* Know When ‘TSLOCG’ Season 3 Is Coming (& It’s So Soon)

Updated Published

By now, it’s been nearly two years since Season 2 of The Sex Lives of College Girls came to an end. The season kept me on the edge of my seat, never really knowing what to expect next. Whether we’re talking about Whitney’s bio bro hookup or Kimberly deciding to actually sell her eggs in college, one thing is for sure: Season 2 kept me fed with content. I’m truly such a big fan of the show, so of course I’ve been wondering what Season 3 of The Sex Lives of College Girls is going to look like. Are Whitney and Kimberly going to stop being friends over Canaan? Is Bela really transferring? These are all very important questions that I need answered. Here’s everything we know about Season 3 of The Sex Lives of College Girls.

When is The Sex Lives of College Girls season 3 coming out?

The Sex Lives of College Girls was officially confirmed for a third season by HBO Max on Dec. 14, 2023. The cancellations made by Max at that time really had me scared for the show’s future, but alas, everything worked out for the better. After Warner Bros. Discovery announced that HBO Max and Discovery+ would be merging together to create the streaming platform, Max, a bunch of other series cancellations were made. There had been no confirmation, at the time, surrounding when we could expect Season 3.

But that all changed on Aug. 28, when Teen Vogue announced that the SLOCG Season 3 will be premiering in November. The show’s co-creator, Justin Noble, even told the outlet that fans can expect a new runtime. “We have a bit longer episodes this year,” he said. “They’re not an hour long, but they’re significantly longer than they’ve been in the past, which has always been my favorite Twitter criticism of the show … So we’ll be seeing some 33, 34 minute episodes as opposed to 23, 22.”

Teen Vogue also revealed that Season 3 will introduce two new characters. Actress Gracie Lawrence will be playing a transfer student named Kacey. “[She] comes to Essex to be with her boyfriend who goes here,” Lawrence told the outlet. “I think that’s pretty much all I can say for now, but I think it is fair to say stick around a little.”

In addition to Lawrence, Mia Rodgers is joining the cast as Taylor, a first-year British international student. “She’s a little bit younger than the girls, so she’s a first year student,” Rodgers said. “How can I put this? She has a lot of character. […] She’s queer and proud, and very loud about it, which is gorgeous. I’m super happy to add to that representation.”

On August 4, SLOCG Season 3 was included in HBO and Max’s lineup for the last quarter of 2024 and 2025, giving fans the first peek at the core four in the upcoming season.

A little more than two months later, on Oct. 9, Max revealed the official release date for Season 3 which is, drumroll please, Nov. 21! That’s right besties, we’re a few weeks away from Season 3 of The Sex Lives Of College Girls and I couldn’t be more excited!

The Core four are back for season 3.

In the SLOCG Season 3 trailer released on Oct. 9, fans got to see Leighton, Whitney, Kimberly, and Bela back at Essex College.

Although it was initially reported that Reneé Rapp would appear as a recurring character on SLOCG Season 3, it seems like Leighton will be getting plenty of screen time in Season 3.

Based on just how much I loved Season 2, I can’t express my excitement about Season 3 of The Sex Lives of College Girls. From the potential storylines that will develop in the upcoming season to the potential introduction and spotlight shifting to new characters, I’ll be waiting patiently for Season 3 to come out.
