The 2023 Oscar’s avoided any major drama, but managed not to let last year’s incident be forgotten. Jimmy Kimmel hosted for his third year and joked about “the slap” between Chris Rock and Will Smith many times, including when he walked up to a sign when exiting the stage that read “Number of Oscars Telecasts Without Incident.”
Aside from drama, this year’s Academy Awards presented a very prominent theme with attendees wearing whites, flower accents, lots of sparkle and striking hemlines on a not-so-red carpet. We saw stars walk a champagne-colored carpet at this year’s Oscars.
At the Vanity Fair after party, we saw more variety in color and style; a major trend showcased was “the naked dress” that is becoming more and more popular with designers.
