Earlier in March, the 95th annual Academy Awards ceremony, the Oscars, took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. When it comes to the Oscars, my two favorite parts include the red-carpet pre-show along with the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, so letâs take a look at a few of the best dressed attendees. Â
Megan Thee Stallion is the definition of a âreal hot girlâ. Her after-party outfit consisted of a custom Bach Mai strapless mermaid gown with a shimmery black pattern and netted corseted bust. She paired it with a diamond choker necklace, diamond chandelier earrings, and long elegant nails. One of my personal favorite aspects of this look was her hair. Megan usually wears her hair straightened or slicked back; however, she showed off her natural curls which definitely tied the entire look altogether. Â
Hunter Schafer, The Euphoria star stunned us all with her after-party outfit. Hunter wore a single white leather feather across her breasts and a very low waisted white silk skirt designed by Ann Demeulemeester. Her makeup was a subtle crimson and gold smokey eye that added a pop of color to the monochromatic outfit. Schafer looked absolutely stunning, and I would love to see her in more outfits like this one. Â
I think it can be difficult for men to stand out at awards shows and fashion events because the typical outfit we see is a suit and tie. However, Donald Glover mixed it up and wore a grey Alexander McQueen jumpsuit to the Vanity Fair blue carpet event. This wasnât just a plain jumpsuit either; it had a deep V-neck and cut-outs in the back. Additionally, one aspect of the outfit I loved were the layered chain necklaces and black boots. Â
Cara Delevingne for sure had a standout outfit with her rosy-red one-shoulder dress designed by Elie Saab. The color and silhouette of the dress complimented her skin tone very well. The star of the outfit was the Bulgari three-strand diamond necklace with an emerald eye snake. After many fans worrying about her health and wellbeing, Delevingne really impressed everyone with this powerful yet elegant look. Â
Another actress that caught my eye was Monica Barbaro. She showed up to the red carpet wearing an exquisite deep purple and baby blue Elie Saab Haute Couture gown. One of my favorite aspects of the look was the contrast in fabric used. The baby blue section was very sheer compared to the deep purple satin and velvet parts of the dress. Barbaro looked very elegant and as a woman who was a member of a male-dominated cast, she deserves all the attention sheâs getting. Â
One of the most unique outfits of the night was worn by Tiffany Haddish. She attended the after-party in a metallic shimmery red, gold, and purple dress designed by Zahair Murad. This dress had a plunging neckline, thigh-high slits, and a pleated skirt that suited Haddish in every way possible. Every detail of this outfit was absolutely gorgeous and eccentric. Â
My favorite outfit of the night by far was worn by Halle Bailey. She stole the red-carpet show with her Dolce and Gabbana strapless seafoam gown. The fitted sheer corset top and long flowy tulle skirt paired with a diamond necklace by De Beers suited her very well. Furthermore, the braided up âdo tied the entire fairytale and princess look together. This look made me even more excited to watch her star in Disneyâs live action Little Mermaid.Â
