Transitioning from spring to summer can leave us with questions like “what do I wear?”, “what do I need in my bag?”, or even “what should I be listening to?”. I compiled a list of what I think are some of the essentials for having a seamless transition from spring to summer.

Your fav Rain jacket

“April showers bring May flowers” may be a cute saying, but it’s also sadly true. You can never know whether it will be pouring rain or a nice 60 degree kind of day, so having a light rain jacket in your bag is important when transitioning from spring to summer.

Sunscreen

This is an essential you should be using all year round, however, with the sun peaking out more, consistently wearing sunscreen and packing it on the go is essential.

Tinted Moisturizer

Now that the sun and warm air is giving our skin a little break, heading towards a tinted moisturizer for the summer can help prepare for summer makeup looks. A tinted moisturizer is great for all kinds of activities or if you’re trying to achieve a “me but better” look this spring/summer.

Layered outfits

Layering your clothes is perfect in the spring to summer transition as it gives you room to take off layers depending on the vibe or weather. I love wearing zip ups and a fun jacket to spice up my looks while giving me room to wear some of my t-shirts, baby tees, and tank tops underneath.

Maxi Dresses

Maxi dresses can provide enough coverage to convince you that its warm while also operating as a cute sundress. Picnics at the park or fun events with friends calls for a simple outfit and Pinterest worthy pictures to go around.

Spring/SUmmer playlist

Curating a perfect playlist to get you in the mood for the sun and summertime approaching is essential for the spring to summer transition. Some albums I will be adding to my playlist have to be Harry’s House by Harry Styles, Kauai by Childish Gambino, and Blonde by Frank Ocean. As nights get longer and warmer, going for a drive or walk while listening to the perfect playlist will help to seamlessly transition from spring to summer.
