One of my favorite things about Epcot is, of course, the Living With the Land ride. The other is the food. Obviously, Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival is known for its, well, food and wine, but the Flower and Garden Festival has some amazing options as well. With food booths all around the World Showcase, and not to mention the beautiful topiaries and gardens, this is a can’t miss event! This festival runs until July 1 so there’s plenty of time for you to check it out and plenty of time for me to go back for seconds.
I’ve compiled a list of all of my favorites from my visit, so bon appetit! Before getting into the showcase, I recommend getting your Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration map. This map shows where hidden bees are all around the world and each one is associated with a certain flower. Fill in the map with all the right flowers at the right locations and you can redeem your prize. I’m sure it’s meant for kids but no Epcot trip is complete without it in my opinion.
Obviously, we’re starting in Mexico at Jardin de Fiestas with the Taco Vampiro. It’s a barbacoa beef taco and the tortilla is covered in fried cheese. Need I say more? It’s also served with a side of esquites and Mexican street corn, which was literally to die for. I could eat a whole bucket of it.
Next is the Lotus House booth in China. The Pan-Fried Vegetable Dumplings honestly did not look like they were going to be as good as they were. These were a 10/10 for me, my only complaint is how small the serving was.
After two savory snacks, we need to switch it up a bit. This next one is not a festival treat but a year-round offering. The Gingerbread Caramel Cookie Sandwich comes from Karamell-Kuche in Germany, which sells a bunch of Werther’s treats. If you love caramel this is the place for you.
Joffrey’s always has the best drinks, but I was a bit hesitant to try the Melonade at their Canada location. This frozen watermelon lemonade was so good, especially with the Florida heat. I would advise you to skip the Orange Cream Cold Brew at the Joffrey’s at the World Showcase entrance…
The IMPOSSIBLE booths are always my favorite of every Epcot festival and Trowel & Trellis did not disappoint this year. The IMPOSSIBLE Lumpia was so good and you seriously can’t even tell that it’s plant-based. Drizzled with Thai sweet chili sauce, these crunchy spring rolls were probably my favorite thing all day. And for $5.50 I thought the serving portion was really generous.
My last treat for the day was very short-lived. The Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake from the Honey Bee-stro, it was gorgeous. It was served with a little flower and a piece of honeycomb. It was literally divine. I had about two bites and then my sister dropped it on the ground. So,
I hope you get the chance to go and try these out for yourselves, my mouth is literally watering thinking about all this food again.
