With names like Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie Kim, The Weeknd, and Troye Sivan in the cast, and Sam Levinson (who is known for his work on Euphoria) behind the camera, people were full of anticipation for the series. However, after the Cannes film festival, the series has been met with some controversy, on top of a Rolling Stone article that delved into drama on set. We do know, though, that Episode 1 will feature a cameo from Alexa Demie as Maddy Perez from Euphoria. The Idol hasn’t even been released and it’s already making headlines, so I’m curious what people will think once the series is out.
