- Pumpkin Picking
I know a lot of people suggest going pumpkin picking during the fall season, but I 100% recommend this as well! Pumpkin picking does not always have to be only getting pumpkins. If you live in Kutztown, PA, you should check out Grimms. This farm has plenty to do in the fall, such as small rides, apple picking, lots of foods, apple cider, corn mazes and so much more!Â
- Movie Marathon
Personally, I love good horror movies like Scream, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc. There are so many fall movies that will make sure to create an amazing fall movie marathon. Other movie classics include Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, When Harry Met Sally, Beetlejuice, etc. Make some popcorn or ghost-shaped cookies, grab a blanket and enjoy a fall movie night.
- Attend a Hayride or a Haunted House
A place in PA that has great reviews is Field of Screams, which is located in Mountville, PA. This location has multiple haunted houses, mazes and hayrides all in one location. This place is known for being scary. If you want a more relaxed hayride, I would look into different locations, but this is such a fun activity for you to go with friends or family.
- Go to a Football Game
Fall is the season for football! Whether you are a huge sports fan or not, attending a game and tailgate can be so much fun! I know Kutztown’s Golden Bears have their football schedule on the KU website, but you can also go watch the Eagles or another team as well.
- Attend a Fall Festival
Many towns host a fall fest throughout October and November. These festivals include fall parades, carnival games, many different kinds of foods and sweet treats, and mini haunted houses and attractions. Some festivals going on in Pennsylvania are Bethlehem Harvest Festival, Pennsboro Pumpkin Fest, and Great Pocono Pumpkin Fest. These are so much fun to go and enjoy and can be a day-long adventure.
These are just recommendations of some fall activities that anybody could enjoy this season!
