As a college student, getting to class on time dressed in a cute outfit with your hair and makeup done can be a very demanding task. Let’s be honest, we all snooze our alarms or simply lose track of time looking at the clock dreading getting up and wondering where the last thirty minutes may have gone. Even when you are running behind, there are still things you can do to get to class feeling your best. Hair is a game changer especially when you want to look a little bit more presentable. With these three 5-minute, easy, trendy, and stylish hairstyles, you can achieve this look even on the days you are sprinting across the unispan to make it to class before the clock strikes 9:40 am.

The first five-minute hairstyle actually takes two minutes, if that. All you need is one small elastic and any claw clip of your choosing. Having a claw clip that matches the color scheme of your outfit is even better! To accomplish this look put your hair in a half up half down ponytail and use your small elastic to secure the ponytail. Once you have your ponytail secured grab your adorable claw clip, shape the ponytail into a bun and secure the bun with the claw clip. Instead of constantly having your hair fall out of your claw clip, the ponytail technique keeps your hair up all day and takes less than five minutes! Perfect for days when you have little to no time.

The second five-minute hairstyle is a personal favorite. For this look, you are going to need 12 small clear elastics. Small clear elastics are a hair essential! They come in packs of 500 and can be used to make any hairstyle look more sleek and put together as opposed to a regular black hair band. To get started with this look, make two small ponytails on the top of your head. Make sure both sides are even. Once you have two ponytails secured with the clear elastics on both sides, start tying bands down the ponytail about one to two inches apart creating six sections throughout it. Do this on both sides and the look is complete! You can also always pull out pieces of hair in the front to frame your face more if you’re feeling it!

The third and final five-minute hairstyle is Dutch braided space buns. This is a great hairstyle to wear when you want a fun updo that keeps your hair out of your face. To complete this look, again we are going to need small clear elastics. For this look, you need four of the small elastics. Firstly, split your hair into two sections. Next, beginning with one split section, start a Dutch braid from the top of your head and work your way down about halfway to around your ear. Then make sure to tightly hold onto the braid, gather the rest of your hair on that side and tie it into a ponytail using one of the small clear elastics. Finally, tie the excess ponytail into a space bun by wrapping the hair into a circular shape and securing it with another one of the small elastics. Once the first side is done, repeat it on the second side trying to get them as even as possible. Then the look is complete!
