Hosting The Perfect Girl’s Night – Our Top Essentials

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TX State chapter.

With a new semester, it can become easy to get caught up in new schedules, homework assignments, work, and internships. It is important to prioritize your friendships throughout all of the chaos and plan a girlā€™s night! Here are the top essentials to have on deck when hosting a girlā€™s night this fall!

1. Snacks and Beverages

Grab the wine (or your favorite mocktails) and bring the goodies! Girlsā€™ night is such a great opportunity for a potluck to bring the group together. Charcuterie boards, pizza, baked goods and popcorn are all great options for the night. Making dinner together can be so much fun over a bottle of wine!

2. Board Games and Cards

Playing a game is always a good way to get the night going! You can alternate who decides to bring the game or each person can contribute a game to have a tournament-style girlsā€™ night! Some of my favorite games are ā€˜Weā€™re Not Really Strangersā€™ and ā€˜For The Girls.ā€™ You could also throw in some card games and have a poker night!

3. Beauty Products

Face masks and skincare are a MUST-HAVE for every girlā€™s night. There are some cheap masks at Target and CVS, as well! You can share beauty secrets and rave about your current favorite products.

4. ā€˜For the Girlsā€™ Playlist

Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, and Nicki Minaj are always on my playlist when my girls come over. Spotify has an option to share a created playlist, so all the girls can add their favorite songs for the night! There are so many playlists created by other users for the perfect ā€˜Girls Night.ā€™

5. Your Favorite Movies

Depending on your mood, deciding to watch a movie can be a great way to bond with your besties. With October quickly approaching, a scary movie would be extremely fitting for the spooky season. Max (previously known as HBO Max) has some of the best movies streaming this year!
