Grab your coziest blanket, light a pumpkin-scented candle, and make some apple cider because it’s Fall! Fall is my favorite season and it is the setting for some of my favorite films. So, let’s get snuggled up and turn on the TV!
Dead Poets Society
One of my fall staples is Dead Poets Society starring Robin Williams. The film takes place at an all-male boarding school during the autumn and winter months. It has both heartbreaking and heartwarming moments, perfect for the season. It also has a classic dark academia aesthetic.
This one is a harder one to get ahold of but I promise it’s worth the watch. It’s available on YouTube, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV.

Harry Potter and the SORCERER’S Stone
The first Harry Potter movie holds a special place for the fall season. It is the only Harry Potter movie to hold a Halloween feast. Apart from that it has many autumn scenes that create that cozy vibe we all love. The second, Chamber of Secrets, and the third, Prisoner of Azkaban, also hold the same fall vibes.
This film is available on Max and Peacock as well as a premium subscription to Amazon Prime.

Little Women
Greta Gerwig’s Little Women is a beautifully filmed movie. Each shot is stunning, capturing the fall and winter seasons. Much like Dead Poets Society, Little Women has a good share of heartbreak but it gets counteracted by the heartwarming moments we get to see. The movie certainly puts me in my feels (in a good way!).
Little Women (2019) is available to watch on Starz. If you have a premium subscription to Amazon Prime or Hulu, you can find Little Women as well.

Knives out
All I have to say is… have you seen Chris Evans in that cable knit sweater?? Knives Out is full of twists and turns, keeping the audience on their toes as they try to figure out who the murderer is. This classic whodunit film is perfect for the fall season.
Knives Out can be watched on Amazon Prime or YouTube, but its spinoff Glass Onion can be found on Netflix.

Corpse Bride
Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride is a fall must-watch. The 2005 stop-motion film has an eerie tone to it that just feels like fall. All in all, it is a visually stunning work of art that concludes with a satisfying ending.
The Corpse Bride is available to watch on Max, as well as with a premium Amazon Prime subscription. https://youtu.be/G9boDkpEyvc?si=DzIxZmi3ahVk9a02
