Since the official beginning of fall was announced, we have been itching to jump straight into the best part of the season: the drinks. There are the old faithful seasonal drinks like a pumpkin spice latte, apple flavored concoctions, or pumpkin chais, but Boulder’s own local coffee shop – the Brewing Market on Pearl St. – took the classics and reinvented them into something extraordinary. Her Campus CU Boulder writers: Rowan Ellis Rissler, Adamari Ruelas, and Lachlan Larsen took the liberty of making a trip to Pearl St. to get a taste of their fall seasonal drink selection. The beverages did not disappoint.Â
#1 Pumpkin Pie Latte
For starters, if you’re looking for a way to celebrate the beautiful trees and the changing seasons, we have just the drink for you. With bits of cinnamon bursting in your mouth and the taste of happy memories and good times, this pumpkin pie latte is the perfect mix between caffeine and coziness. But wait! It gets better. On top, a dollop of whipped cream is joined with a toffee syrup making it the most wonderful combination of salty and sweet. This drink bursts with flavor while still having an underscore of the nutty base and smooth finish the espresso has. The next time you are super stressed and just need to grind out some homework, head on over to the Brewing Market for your pumpkin pie latte.
#2 Apple Chaider
This drink is definitely the best of both worlds. With the strong apple flavor from the cider mixing beautifully with the spice filled chai, it has become a new favorite of ours. It’s the perfect cozy fall drink, reminding me of yellowing leaves and chilly October mornings. On top of this drink becoming one of our favorite drinks, it was also the barista’s pick the day we visited the Brewing Market. If you are looking for a comforting drink as the days get colder, we highly recommend this Warm Apple Chaider.
#3 Caramel Apple Cider
When we think of fall – pumpkins, leaves, sweaters, and apple cider come to mind. The Caramel Apple Cider is the epitome of fall; it’s a perfect way to ease into the fall season. At first taste, you get the punchiness of the apple cider, which is laced with sentimental value for Lachlan because she used to always share a cider with her sister when they went to pumpkin patches when they were little. They always had to share one (which she didn’t really like) but she still loved the cider nonetheless. After the initial delicious sourness, you are greeted by the smooth and sweet caramel aftertaste. The best way to describe this drink is nostalgic warmth. Accompanying the cider that – dare we say is the perfect fall drink – is the phenomenal atmosphere. The people working were incredibly charming and their music selection was top-tier with features of Mary J. Blige, Mitski, and Frank Ocean. We would definitely recommend the Caramel Apple Cider for a seasonal delicacy that is our favorite form of self-care. Overall, we would one hundred percent go back to taste-test all of their new seasonal drinks year round.Â
When you first walk into the Brewing Market, you are welcomed by phenomenal employees and the delicious array of baked goods in a glass case. Comfy couches line the back walls and in the front with the perfect spot of sunlight highlighting the velvet fabric. The seating is endless and it is almost always buzzing with activity from customers and the employee’s interactions with each other. Even if you aren’t a fan of coffee, there is an endless selection of drinks available. Limitless options from the attached tea shop next door to different kombucha flavors to select syrups for your lattes. The Brewing Market works to make sure every customer is welcomed, comfortable, and works to ensure the best coffee shop experience available in Boulder.Â
Whenever you find yourself on Pearl St with friends, family, or even on a solo-date and are in need of a cozy pick-me-up, the Brewing Market is perfect. It’s home to one of the best seasonal drink selections we have ever experienced. The Brewing Market is located at 1918 13th Pearl St. The vibes are immaculate, creating the perfect place to get some homework done with friends, or just to unwind after a long day. We will definitely be visiting again very soon!Â
