TikTok may have everyone rustling through their refrigerators trying to recreate five-star dishes, but whatever happened to a great sandwich?! In honor of National Sandwich Day on Nov. 3, Jimmy John’s will be releasing their first-ever collaboration with the high-end streetwear brand, Starter. This collaboration will include a Jimmy John’s x Starter Limited Edition Jacket, which will cost $150. “Jimmy John’s fans are crazy about our sandwiches – and now they have something new to crave with these high-fashion, limited-edition jackets,” said Jimmy John’s Chief Marketing Officer Darin Dugan in a press release.
Jimmy John’s has been a constant pillar in the sandwich world since its founding in 1983. In doing their part for the greater good, 100% of the proceeds of this jacket will go directly to the Jimmy John’s Foundation, a partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Creating this jacket was also a way for the brand to pay homage to the rich style of the ‘90s. “Starter was a quintessential part of ‘90s culture and now that the brand is back and hotter than ever, we can’t wait to see how our one-of-a-kind jackets are styled on the street,” Dugan said.
The limited-edition jacket is the perfect ’90s-inspired statement piece! It’s lightweight with black, red, and white paneling in the middle, on the shoulders, and on the inside of the hood. It also features a quarter zipper with the iconic Starter star emblem on the zipper. The same emblem can be found on the left wrist of the jacket. On the front, the Jimmy John’s logo is boldly etched in red stitching. The design is super eye-catching, and a great piece to have in your closet!
