Jonas Brothers Concert Recap

The Jonas Brothers were recently in town for their tour, aptly named The Tour, doing two shows in Orlando. Back in 2008, I was the proud owner of the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert movie (which came with paper 3D glasses) and the Jonas Brothers were featured. I would seriously watch this movie like everyday, glasses and all. While I was a big Jo-Bro fan growing up, I will admit I am not as familiar with their newer work, besides what I hear on the radio, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see them in concert for real. 

The opening band was a sibling duo called Lawrence. I was unfamiliar with their music except for one song, which I recognized from TikTok, and a cover they sang of “It’s Gonna Be Me” by NSYNC. Honestly, they were talented but I wasn’t the biggest fan of them. 

The main stage had two catwalks going out on diagonals and a pathway dividing the floor seats which led out to a smaller, more intimate stage. At this small stage, Kevin’s wife, Danielle, and Nick’s wife, Priyanka, could be seen in the surrounding standing room only section, which I assume was friends and family only. Sophie Turner was not in attendance, for obvious reasons. There was a sweet moment later in the night between Nick and his daughter, where Priyanka lifted her on stage for her to say hi to Dad. 

When the Jonas Brothers took the stage, the crowd went insane. They opened with “Celebrate!” and honestly I did not know this song and had to look up the setlist to tell you just now. But then they went on to sing “What a Man Gotta Do” and I knew that one!!! I would say throughout the show I knew about 50% of the songs. They went album by album, playing a total of 37 songs with even an intermission in the middle of the set. I think I just about lost my mind when they played “Lovebug” and then to top it off, they played “Gotta Find You” and “Introducing Me” from Camp Rock. 

While I didn’t know all of the songs, it was still fun to dance along, and it certainly didn’t stop me from spending $75 on a sweatshirt. I think having seen the concert, I may start listening to the Jonas Brothers more and by the next time they come around, I’ll be a superfan.

In her free time, Sam enjoys reading, going to Barre class, finding new things to do in and around the Orlando area, especially if there is rumored to be good food, and Facetiming her dog Dexter. She is a major fan of both Taylor Swift and Phoebe Bridgers (she even got it tattooed to prove it) and loves going to concerts, and of course dressing up for them.
