The cold weather will be here before you know it and there is little worse than coming outside on a cold morning to find your car covered in snow when you need to get to class. Preparing for the weather beforehand is a great way to ensure you don’t miss that morning class!
Under the hood
- Check the battery – Auto stores often have free battery testing!
- Change your washer fluid out for one that doesn’t freeze
- Check your oil levels (or maybe get that oil change your dad reminded you to get in September).
Inside the car
- Clean the inside of your windshield
- Check the cabin filter
- Get your snow brush/ice scraper out of storage and have it ready to use
exterior essentials
- Check your tire tread and pressure (and possibly consider winter tires)
- Check your wiper blades; replace them if broken or brittle.
Getting ahead of the weather will help keep you safe and make your life a little easier in the future!
