His part in the show developed an extensive fan base that not only loved the character but the actor who portrayed it.

Even though Mathew Perry was always happy and proud of his role, he did not want to be remembered for just it, but for the other good actions that he has done for the world. Throughout the filming of “Friends”, Mathew experienced multiple episodes of alcoholism and drug addiction. He went to multiple sessions of rehab, but sadly the disease got him first. Because of his experience, he created multiple centers for people who were going through the same internal conflicts as him, while always maintaining his support towards this issue. He was loved by everyone because how he still managed to smile and make people laugh when he was suffering the most. He wanted to inspire others by making them feel okay with what they were going through, and giving them hope of succeeding in life.

His journey to recovery has inspired many to keep going and to succeed in this process. He will be missed for all the laughs that he created for people, for all the jokes and smiles that followed his actions, but most importantly for being a figure of support and persistence. Mathew Perry was, is, and will continue to be an example of how life can bring positive and negative situations, but when facing them with a good mentality, everything can be surpassed.
