Thanksgiving is here which means it’s time to start planning your friendsgiving party (don’t stress out you still have time!). So get your best friends together for a fun night full of gossiping, eating, drinking and even more eating! Below are some steps for hosting the most memorable night of the holiday season!

Invitations

It’s time for the invitations! Rather than sending out a group text that could get lost in your friends’ notifications, make cute official invites with a fun festive theme. These can easily be designed on Canva with a free template or get creative with your own. Make sure to add an RSVP option, so you know who’s coming to your party!

Set the Vibe

Friendsgiving is more than just the menu (don’t get me wrong, the food is a must), but the vibe and decor will make your evening even more festive. With just a few decorations you can transform your small apartment into a festive ambient space. Grab some vanilla scented candles, tiny pumpkins and little twinkle lights to set the mood. Now for the table, bring out your fancy cloth napkins and a tablecloth to make your space feel even more cozy. I also love to add some red and orange autumn flowers to your to make the space feel even more cozy.

Stress Free Menu

When you think about thanksgiving, the first thing that definitely comes to mind is all the amazing yummy food. But please don’t make the menu something you stress about for days leading up to your big night. I promise your true friends will not care about your turkey making abilities. So turkey or no turkey, this dinner is all about being together with your friends and having a great time. A stress free idea is for all of your friends to bring their favorite sides or desserts to share with the party (include this in the invite). You also can serve some simple appetizers with a fun drink menu, you’ll have fun mixing drinks and snacking while you wait for the dinner!

Activities

Talking and gossiping around the table is definitely a must during friendsgiving and may even take up your whole night. But just in case having some girly games on hand is always a fun idea. I also love to have Gossip Girl or Friends in the background of the party. For a festive vibe check out the thanksgiving episodes, Gossip Girl: Season 1, Blair Waldorf Must Pie!” or Friends:  Season 5, “The One With All the Thanksgivings”.
