- #3 The King Worth Killing by Peter Swanson
As someone who was in a reading slump for years, I can proudly say that this book first-handedly pulled me out of it and helped me find my passion for reading again. The plot follows 2 strangers who meet at an airport and decide together that maybe, if for the right reasons, murder isn’t such a bad thing. Between the mysteriously complex characters and the fast-paced chapters, this book contains the perfect amount of twists and turns to keep you engaged and trust me, you’ll never see it coming!
- #2 Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris
Like most things that seem too good to be true, the marriage between Grace and Jack Angel isn’t all rainbows and butterflies. Behind Jack’s charming and gentle demeanor, he has secrets beyond anything his wife could ever imagine. This enthralling novel doesn’t follow the same cliche storyline of a romance gone wrong but rather makes you question what bone-chilling sacrifices you’d be willing to make under these character’s circumstances. I finished this book in one day which is RARE for me so trust me when I say, you’ll love it!
- #1 The One by John Marrs
Of all the books I’ve ever read, I’ve only given 3 novels a perfect 5/5 stars. This book is one of them. The One is told through multiple perspectives in which the characters live in amongst a society where their matches are biologically determined for them. All you have to do is send a DNA swab to Match Your DNA and they’ll tell you who you’re destined to be with. This book is written so flawlessly that it felt like I was watching scenes of a drama show, switching from character to character. Each person is written in such perfect detail, that you feel like you’ve known them their entire lives, and as the book progresses, it only gets better and better as the secrets unfold. I literally sat with my jaw on the floor, pondering everything after reading this. This is the type of book that you wish you could read for the first time again!
