It’s that time of year: Hallmark has started its Christmas movie countdown. No other channel seems to combine the Christmas season and romantic comedies as well as the Hallmark Channel. Therefore, I have created a list of the best Christmas love stories that you cannot miss this year. Even though these movies are full of cheesy lines they are a great way to escape into an alternate Christmas universe.

Christmas Under Wraps (2014):

This film features Candace Cameron Bure as a doctor who moves to a small town in Alaska to help. She ends up starting a new romance which leads to her finding out the small town’s holiday secret.

Christmas Next Door (2017):

Scrooge is insistent on staying single and refuses to decorate for the Christmas season. However, his new neighbor wants to change that. She tries to get him into the Christmas spirit and ends up changing his heart as well.

A Christmas Melody (2015):

This film is directed by Mariah Carey and stars Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliot. The film is about a single mother and her daughter who just moved back to her hometown and are having a hard time adjusting. Her daughter seeks help from a music teacher to help write a song for the Christmas show.

Christmas Town (2015):

This is another film that stars Candace Cameron Bure. In this film, she finds love unexpectedly as she uncovers her family’s past. It’s as if fate has brought her to this small town during the best time of the year.

A Crown for Christmas (2015):

This film encompasses pure Christmas magic as the main character, Allie, receives a job as governess for a King in Europe. She leaves her New York City lifestyle and falls in love with Europe in more than one way.
