Coach’s Lil Nas X Drop: Release Date, Designs, & How To Shop

The Y2K collection of Gen Zers’ dreams just dropped and I can tell you already, this collection is going to be a must-have in your closet for 2024. Everyone’s favorite rapper Lil Nas X teamed up with the iconic brand Coach to create a capsule collection with all his favorite Y2K-inspired pieces. If you’re anything like me, you are already searching for the perfect pieces to start the new year off in style with, and this Lil Nas X Drop from Coach is sure to give you the best looks this year. This collection has everything from hoodies, shoes, and coats to, of course, lots of styles of the iconic Coach bags. The entire collection was handpicked and personally customized by the rapper himself.

Coach’s creative director, Stuart Vevers, described the vibe of the collection as one that will “evoke rave culture” in a press release shared with Billboard. If this isn’t the perfect vibe to start the new year, then I don’t know what is. The Coach Lil Nas X Drop designs feature plenty of styles representing the artist’s entire life, from his music career to his personal life, including his pet and zodiac sign. This collection is undeniably one of a kind, so if you are searching for vintage and vibrant looks to start off the year, you definitely need to check out this new Lil Nas X Drop from Coach.

Coach’s Lil Nas X Drop Release DAte

You can shop the collection starting Dec. 26, 2023. The perfect time to get the looks to start the new year! Not all of the pieces within the collection have been released, which makes for a lot of anticipation until the release day. Until then, we can see the vibe of the collection from Lil Nas X’s iconic campaign shoot with Coach, shot by photographer @coughs. This promotional shoot is sure to amp up the excitement, and definitely displays the Y2K aesthetic Gen Zers know and love. One shot from the campaign shows the rapper sitting on the well-known early-2000s item, a bright blue bubble chair, with a flip phone, hot pink fur boots, and a matching fur Coach bag. A picture tells a thousand words but if I had to sum it up into one word, I would definitely say iconic.

When you see the collection, it’s clear that these pieces match the vibe of the famous rapper. If you’re a fan of his music you will definitely be able to see the inspiration from his music in the pieces — and especially his Montero Tour. Last year, Lil Nas X became a Coach ambassador and was seen wearing custom pieces from Coach throughout his tour. This collection is bringing the bright aesthetic of those customized looks into your closet. Many of these pieces feature designs from his concert merchandise on products such as hoodies and bags. Other garments from the collection include a leather bike jacket, varsity jackets with illustrations of his pet cat and Aries symbols (his zodiac sign), and acidic sweatshirts.

“To create the collection, we twisted the Coach archives and were also inspired by Lil Nas X’s connection to music and nightlife. We evolved heritage styles introduced on the runway last season by amplifying color, texture and graphics to create pieces that celebrate our love for individuality and authentic self-expression that we share,” Vevers said in the press release.

How To Shop Coach’s Lil Nas X Drop
