OK, is anyone else absolutely obsessed with Charles Melton? After seeing his incredible performance in May December, this man moved into my mind, unpacked his things, put his feet up on the coffee table, and has been living there rent-free. And call me what you want, but I think his birth chart has something to do with it.
Now, I’m not a skin-deep attraction kind of girl. Obviously, Charles Melton is an incredibly attractive guy; Have you seen his bone structure? Not only that, but he seems like a total sweetheart, even bringing his mom to the 2024 Golden Globes. But I’m the type of person who likes to dig a little deeper when it comes to my internet crushes — and that usually includes analyzing their birth chart for the better part of my afternoon.
While many people often doubt the power of astrology, I am an astro-believer before I am anything. In my experience, a person’s natal chart can explain a lot about how they behave, their attitude toward relationships, and even how they feel about their profession. So, I took it upon myself to take a dive into Charles Melton’s natal chart. Spoiler alert: there’s a red flag in there.
Charles Melton is a Capricorn.
Skrt! The breaks are on. Born on Jan. 4, Melton is a Capricorn. I have nothing against Capricorn men, but there is a support group for folks who have dated Capricorns… and it’s not pretty. This Earth sign is known for its closed-off, workaholic nature, which isn’t exactly the best in my book.
However, contrary to astrological belief, Capricorns can actually be quite sweet. Once they’re comfortable, Capricorns can be loyal, goofy, and incredibly reliable. Plus, their dedication to their work can be extremely inspiring — I can’t deny that Melton is about to be booked and busy in 2024. It’s the Capricorn way!
But before you hop off of the Charles Melton wagon, know that the key traits of one’s zodiac sign are completely dependent on the rest of their chart. So, I’ll chalk this one up to Melton being a super hard worker with a secret soft side. On we go!
His moon is in Virgo.
The Earth sign energy is strong, here. Moon placements point to how one may interpret and process their emotions, and Melton’s moon is in the organized, grounded sign of Virgo. While Virgo placements are often categorized as being high-strung and closed-off, its placement in Melton’s chart tells a different story.
Virgo moons are oftentimes seen as shy, but incredibly helpful and kind. While it may take some time for them to let you in, once they feel safe with you, Virgo moons are sensitive, loving, and loyal individuals. This placement totally explains the sweet shyness that Melton gives off in his interviews, IMHO.
His Mercury Is in Sagittarius.
There’s a reason why Charles Melton is a great actor: a Sagittarius Mercury (totally not years of training)! Mercury is the planet that explains how we communicate with others. This placement is known for having a thirst for knowledge, and an innate desire to connect with others in creative ways. Seeing as Melton’s May Decemeber performance received critical acclaim for its authenticity, it’s no question that he’s able to connect with audiences through his roles.
Oh, and this placement is also known to be, like, super nice. Gotta love that.
His Venus is in Capricorn.
Venus is the planet of love and relationships. With Melton’s Venus in Capricorn, it’s no wonder that people everywhere are falling in love with him! Capricorn Venuses have a sort of stoic, brooding vibe to them, and they tend to value relationships and privacy above all else. They don’t fall often, but when they do, they fall hard.
A Capricorn Venus is also known to be a fantastic partner since they prioritize making their partner feel safe, secure, and loved. Swoon.
His Mars is in Taurus.
This is one of my all-time favorite placements. Mars is the planet that shows how we approach conflict, desires, and goals. Housing the Earth sign Taurus, Melton may be the type to approach these things in a grounded, calculated way. Folks with a Mars in Taurus are often categorized as being quietly courageous, patient, and persistent. And it looks as though this approach works for Melton: his work in May Demeber has garnered multiple awards and nominations. Hey, BAFTAs, you dropped the ball on this one.
