Kali Uchis & Don Toliver’s Relationship Timeline Is So Cute

I first heard Kali Uchis’ voice on her song “After The Storm” (featuring Tyler, The Creator, and Bootsy Collins) in 2018 and I was instantly hooked. Her lyricism, style, and voice set her apart from a lot of the music and artists I normally listened to, and I’ve been a fan ever since. 

Uchis frequently incorporates her Colombian roots in her music, most recently in her album ORQUÍDEAS, which was released on Jan. 12. This album is almost entirely in Spanish, and while I can’t understand much of it, I’ll still be listening to it on repeat.  

However, a new album isn’t the only thing Uchis has been up to lately. On Jan. 11, Uchis dropped a music video for her song “Tu Corazón Es Mío,” where she announced her pregnancy by baring her baby bump and showing her boyfriend, Don Toliver at a doctor’s appointment kissing her belly. It was so cute. 

Toliver, a rapper, singer, and songwriter, has collaborated with Uchis on two songs in the past, “Drugs N Hella Melodies” and “Fantasy.” These two are incredible music collaborators, and of course, make a beautiful couple. Here’s everything we know about Kali Uchis’ and Don Toliver’s relationship timeline from 2021 to now. 

Uchis appeared in two of Toliver’s music videos in 2021.

Relationship rumors quickly started circulating about the couple after Uchis appeared in two of Toliver’s music videos for his songs “What You Need” and “Drugs N Hella Melodies.”  The music video for “Drugs N Hella Melodies” really had people wondering if they were dating. The music video features the two taking a bubble bath together where Uchis is wearing lingerie, making their chemistry pretty clear. 

Following the release of these two music videos, fans were wondering what was going on between the two. 

Toliver Confirmed His Relationship with Uchis in July 2021. 

About a month after the “Drugs N Hella Melodies” music video was released, Toliver confirmed his relationship with Uchis in an interview with W Magazine, explaining that, “‘we’re not crazy public or nothing like that 
 we just vibe.’” 

However, people think that the two were dating before shooting the music video, as Toliver told W Mag that her and Uchis went to Colombia to shoot the video earlier in the year. While they were there, Toliver also met Uchis’ family, however, keeping their relationship private, he did not say much else. 

Uchis and Toliver made their red carpet debut at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

On April 3, 2022, Uchis and Toliver made their relationship red carpet official at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Uchis was nominated for “Best MĂșsica Urbana Album” for her record Sin Miedo (Del Amor Y Otros Demonios).

Uchis posted a sweet message for Toliver’s birthday.

On June 12, 2022, Uchis posted the sweetest Instagram post for Toliver’s birthday. The caption read, “Happy birthday baby!! May the blessings multiply every year & may you continue to be divinely guided through it all. I thank God for the day your love came into my life.” I’m blushing. They are so cute.

Uchis featured Toliver on her 2023 album “Red Moon In Venus.” 

Uchis released her album Red Moon In Venus on March 3, 2023, and had a special someone collaborate on a song with her. The sixth song of the album called “Fantasy” features Toliver. This song marks Uchis’ second collaboration with Toliver, and I’m sure there’s bound to be more in their future. 

Uchis announced her pregnancy in her music video for “Tu Corazón Es Mío.” 

On Jan. 11, Uchis dropped an ethereal music video for her song “Tu CorazĂłn Es MĂ­o.” The video opens up with clips of Uchis and Toliver when they were babies, then transitions into Uchis now, showing her pregnant belly. The title of the song in English translates to “within your heart is mine.” I’m crying. 

Uchis and Toliver also shared a collaborative post on Instagram with clips from the music video revealing their exciting announcement. The caption read, “Starting our family❀‍đŸ©č don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you.”  I’m so happy for them! 

It’s safe to say that Uchis and Toliver’s baby is going to have lots of swag, but also, a whole lot of love.
