We all know winter is here and staying for quite a few more months. Adapting to the cold is one thing, but adapting your wardrobe for the weather is a whole other challenge. Finding a fashionable fit and staying warm is sometimes hard; I know I speak from experience. But I have put together some tried and true ways for you to look good and keep cozy.

Scarves

Lately, scarves have been making a huge come back. I feel like when we see scarves we think it’s an older fashion trend, but it actually heats you up pretty well while also adding to your outfit. You don’t have wear it as traditionally anymore either. There are now tons of variations! How short or long it can be, the multiple ways of tying it, as well as the colors and patterns… Sky’s the limit!

Gloves or mittens

A lot of people complain about wearing gloves. People say that they’re too much of a hassle, they’re big and bulky, and they can’t check their phone with them on. However, they do keep you warm. And fashionable gloves are becoming more and more popular. They’re such a simple add-on that can connect an outfit together while keeping your hands snug. They also come in many different styles to simplify a look or take it up a notch.

Hats

Hats have always been in style, but I just irrationally feel sometimes it’s scary to try them. Occasionally, it’s hard to tell whether a hat looks good or if it is extremely ‘out there’. But during winter, it’s a must. Especially a cute winter hat to keep your ears warm! They are quite the accessory for staying toasty.

Coats

Out of all of them, coats have to be my favorite. I love to see those big oversize, flowing coats. It’s my favorite trend right now and I wish I had one of my own. It adds so much to the look with just one piece and really can be the secure knot that ties a look together. Layering is always the way to go. Motto: you can never layer too much!
