On January 7th, the 81st annual Golden Globe took place in Beverly Hills and it was filled with some of the best stars. This ceremony honors multiple film and television projects and is accompanied by a luxurious red carpet. Here are some of my favorite looks to rate and discuss based on my own personal preference.Â
Selena Gomez: 4/10
Dressed in Armani Privé Selena opted for this bright red dress. I believe that the color accentuates her skin and hair. However, I did not like that there was too much going on with the dress. The distinguished cut and cleavage combined were too much for the dress. But she still looked as pretty as always!
Emma Stone: 7.5/10
The Academy Award winner went for this nude design by Louis Vuitton. I absolutely love how the color matches her skin, and because of her bright colored hair the nude color goes very well. She looked simple but classy. Loved it!
Taylor Swift: 8/10
I was obsessed with the color she selected for this dress! Made by Gucci, this style definitely makes her pop-star side stand out. It is a very chick option that still shows her glitter personality.
Margot Robbie: 10/10
For me, this was my favorite of all. Dressed in Armani Privé, Margot Robbie could not have chosen a better option for this event. Apart from being a huge childhood reference for us Barbie girlies, this dress is so simple yet classy. I love the sequins with the arms accessory. It definitely keeps the Barbie concept alive and makes us all dream of wearing a dress like that.
Natalie Portman: 9/10
Her floral dress from Dior haute couture and the simplicity of her hairstyle makes this dress to be one of my favorites.
Dua Lipa: 9.5/10
I loved this look. Dressed by Schiaparelli and Tiffany & Co, Dua Lipa slayed this outfit. Now that she dyed her hair, I feel that the combination of gold and black from the dress creates a great match with her color palette. The only reason that I did not give it a 10 was because of how she could not sit with the dress on.Â
Jennifer Lopez: 8/10
This Nicole + Felicia dress combined with the wavy hairstyle helps accentuate Jlo’s figure and skin tone. The sleeves could be removed, making it efficient for more looks. Â
Billie Eilish: 2/10
I know this is Billie’s style, but I do not think that it was appropriate for the occasion. The combination of colors and the size of each item did not match each other.Â
Amanda Seyfried: 6/10
The Mamma Mia star rocked this Armani Privé dress. I was not amazed by the combination of colors between the bow and the rest of the dress, but I did like the design and how it enhanced her figure
Hunter Schafer: 9/10
This dress was one of my favorite dresses. As you may have noticed, I’m very into simple but elegant looks, and I think this Prada design fulfills that concept while also being different with its “cape”.
