Lately, there has been a lot of buzz around reusable water bottles, and this has been a good thing — to some extent. Not only are these types of bottles environmentally-friendly, but they also allow consumers to save money, drink more water, and protect their bodies from harmful chemicals that may be found in typical plastic bottles. Until now, one reusable bottle company has been all over my FYP for the past few weeks — Stanley. There have been videos of people basically attacking each other to get to these bottles, and some limited-edition collections of the cups have sold out stores instantly. However, there seems to be some competition stacking up for Stanley, because lately, Meoky tumblers have been getting all the buzz.
So, what are Meoky tumblers? Meoky is a water bottle company focused on providing bottles that just scream YOU. Their name is literally “ME-OK-Yay!” With their customization service, customers can create designs that show their personalities and match their style perfectly. One of the company’s major goals is working to combat global warming by creating different types of reusable bottles that will aid in bettering the environment. This isn’t too surprising, since that’s presumably the goal of many other reusable bottle companies. What’s interesting, though, is how Meoky compares to Stanley. For this comparison, the 40-ounce cups with handles and straws were the main focus.
- Stanley vs. meoky: Price
-
It’s no secret that Stanleys can break the bank. The 40-ounce cup is usually $45, but since it has five-star reviews, they must be doing something right. Meoky’s 40 -ounce cups, on the other hand, have prices ranging from $30 (on Amazon) to $36 (on their website). So it’s safe to say that Meoky is cheaper — especially since there is a 39% off sale going on right now.
- Stanley vs. Meoky: Colors
-
Where aesthetics are concerned, Stanley is currently offering mainly pastel and neutral colors on their website. That’s not to say they don’t have bright or trendy color options, but they are often limited-edition, and sometimes only available at certain retailers like Target or Starbucks. Meoky offers more vibrant color options on their website, as well as gradients, glittery designs, and different patterns. The difference here depends on your personal style, but for me, Meoky takes the win.
- Stanley vs. Meoky: Features
-
Both Stanley and Meoky make their cups from recyclable and BPA-free materials. They both also have a handle and reusable straw, so how do their features differ? According to its website, Stanley’s 40-ounce cups keep drinks hot for up to seven hours and cool for 11 hours. Ice can last up to two days in their cups. In addition to all this, their bottle is dishwasher safe.
Meoky bottles are 100% leak-proof (something the Stanley cup has been criticized for), and they keep drinks warm for up to 10 hours and cool for 34 hours. However, they are made to be hand-washed, and are not dishwasher friendly.
- Stanley Vs. Meoky: TikTok Reviews
-
In a September 2023 video, one Tiktok user shared her experience with both the Meoky and Stanley cups. In her video, it was shown that when both the Stanley and Meoky straws were removed, the Meoky one did not not leak, while the Stanley cup did.
Others took to the app to share their love for the bottle and the designs they got.
As someone who owns neither of these bottles, I think the Meoky one is definitely worth the hype. It’s cheaper, eco-friendly, and leak-proof, which is really all I need in a water bottle.
