‘Love Is Blind’ Faves Returned To The Pods, But Not For A Reason You Might Think

Every friend group needs their reality TV-guru, and I’m happy to say that I proudly take on that role. With the Season 6 premiere of Love Is Blind airing on Feb. 14, I already know I’m going to be bombarded with lots of questions from my friends, and I’m so ready for it. Even though Love Is Blind Season 6 won’t be out for two more weeks, past contestants just made a comeback to the pods, but not for the reason you think.

IMO, Love Is Blind is one of the most creative reality TV shows. If you’re unfamiliar with the premise, allow me to fill you in. And yes, what I’m about to tell you is 100% true. Love Is Blind, a Netflix original series, takes single men and women who are looking for love and pairs them up in “pods.” The catch? The pairs do not see each other until they are engaged, if they decide to do so. It’s pure entertainment.

The series, which Netflix calls a “social experiment,” is hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey. Let me tell you, there have been some pretty memorable contestants on this show, and some are back for a Love Is Blind reunion to prove that love might be more than just blind.

In a new posts shared to Love Is Blind’s official Instagram account, former cast members Bartise Bowden, Micah Lussier, Marshall Glaze, and Taylor Rue returned to the pods, and, up until Jan. 31, fans were confused as to why. On Jan. 30, Love is Blind shared a video to  Instagram with the caption, “Second time’s the charm. Something BIG coming soon…”

The video made it unclear what the announcement was pertaining to. It looked like it would be a “second chance” spin on the series, and users were quick to share their thoughts in the comments. One user commented, “Anyone Anyone Anyone but Bartise. C’mon y’all.” Another user wrote, “Can’t wait to tune into whatever this hot mess express is going to be.” Same.

However, it doesn’t look like there’s going to be a new spin-off with these contestants. At least not yet. On Jan. 31, Love Is Blind revealed what they were plotting, and it showed that love is more than just blind; love is wine. Yup, all of this was a promo for a collaboration with Cupcake Vineyards, and I’m already planning on finding the wine tomorrow when it’s released.

In the caption, @loveisblindnetflix wrote, “We’ve found our perfect pair(ing) @cupcakevineyards, welcome to the Love is Blind fam!” And yes, the bottle is gold, which pairs perfectly with the iconic golden wine glasses that are on Love Is Blind.

According to PEOPLE, the chardonnay will be available in stores and online starting Feb. 1. So, if you have a special someone in your life that you want to test the waters with, check to see if love is truly wine.
