The new year is a time for new beginnings, new habits, and new people- specifically in Hollywood. These ten fresh faces are the ones to watch in 2024.

The 19-year-old Avantika Vandanapu has had a busy couple of weeks since Mean Girls’s release earlier this month. Her role as Karen Shetty has placed her under the spotlight, with fans grateful to see South Asian representation. Outside of Hollywood, Vandanpu attends Columbia University.

The 2023 movie Saltburn received immense publicity, partially because of its shocking storyline and partially because it features Jacob Elordi. This limelight has benefitted the young actress Alison Oliver, who played the troubled Venetia Catton. This role, coupled with her experience in the Hulu series Conversations with Friends, has hopefully set the pace for the rest of her acting career.

At only 14 years old, actress Leah Jeffries rose to fame by playing Annabeth Chase in the 2023 television series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. With Forbes declaring this series “The Best Thing On Disney+ Since’ Loki’,” it is safe to assume that Jeffries has a successful career ahead of her.

The 39-year-old actress Cara Jade Myers is living proof of why you should never give up on your dreams: she was about to quit her acting career, gave it one last shot, and ended up working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. Her big break in the 2023 Killers of the Flower Moon has Vogue declaring her “Hollywood’s new star to watch.”

The young Ariana Greenblatt has proved her Disney days to be over, thanks to her roles in the 2023 movies 65 and Barbie. At only 16 years old, she has worked with pros such as Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and Adam Driver. This upcoming summer, she is set to hit the screens again, working alongside Kevin Hart and Cate Blanchette in the movie Borderlands.

The 24-year-old Reneé Rapp has proved to be on the rise, gaining success from both her acting and her singing. This past January alone, she starred in the movie Mean Girls, guested on SNL and released a single alongside Megan Thee Stallion.

This past winter, Warner Bros. took a different approach to a known story, portraying Willy Wonka’s backstory in the movie Wonka. Starring alongside Timothee Chalamet was 14-year-old Calah Lane, who was playing Noodle. Chalamet recognizes her potential, saying he “can’t wait to see what she does with her career.”

25-year-old Cailee Spaeny has found herself under some much-deserved spotlight ever since the recent release of Priscilla. Spaeny’s excellent portrayal of Priscilla Presley earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe award. This breakthrough performance is not the end of her acting career. However, this spring, Spaeny can be seen again in the upcoming movie Civil War.

At just 14 years old, actress Sofia Sanchez has worked alongside celebrities Rachel Zegler and Hunter Schafer, thanks to her breakthrough role in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. This past year, Sanchez has also attended the Barbie movie premiere, furthered her modeling career, and advocated for Down Syndrome- all while attending high school.

The 24-year-old Lily-Rose Depp has proved she is more than just some nepo-baby, starring in the 2023 series The Idol. This series was created by the Euphoria director Sam Levinson and featured stars such as The Weeknd and Troye Sivan. Although this series has been canceled, it still proved to be good publicity for Depp, who will be hitting the screens again in the upcoming horror movie Nosferatu
