A skincare or even a self-care routine was never a part of my day, until I was looped into the life of a college student. My days seemed short, and I would see tasks continually getting added to my to-do list. My days would get hectic, as I tried to get used to the heavy workload. Ultimately, I had to force myself to allocate time aside for me to unwind at the end of the day.
Luckily, I found myself the perfect relaxant; Green Tea.
My first sip of green tea, which my parents used to drink, made me regret my decision and convinced me that the bland tea wasn’t for me.
Whenever I go to sleep, I always take the baggage of the day, and think about all minor details that happened throughout the day. I fall asleep thinking, but I never sleep peacefully, because stress is always in the back of my mind.
After completing all my classes and library study sessions, I look forward to the 30 minutes I set aside for myself.
Plain green tea has always been my second favorite, after chamomile tea. I have consistently battled with keeping my skin clear, without any pimples popping up. Despite this, I have seen significant changes in my skin after drinking green tea 4-5 days per week.
Green tea has turned into a vital aspect of my routine of detoxing myself.
I try to keep my nighttime routine consistent throughout the week, but despite my sleep schedule changing, drinking one cup of tea is always constant.
I’ve been drinking green tea for 4 months now, and can I just say that I will never turn my back on it again.
I learned to treat myself to a nighttime shower, book, or comforting movie, in addition to green tea. Giving my brain to think about something other than my assignments.
Green tea can go either way for anyone, but give it a try, it could be just what you wanted.
