Love Is Blind Season 6 is continuing to get more messy, and is now proving that there are a whole lot of secrets that’ll come out after leaving the pods. If you thought Matthew was bad, there’s a new villain whose true colors have really been shining through over the past few episodes, and his name is Jeramey.
I’ll be the first to say that I haven’t been a fan of Jeramey from the start. He wasn’t necessarily bad, he just wasn’t my favorite. After seeing how he’d acted towards Sarah Ann DMing him and hanging out with her until 5 AM, I officially cannot stand him. If you thought that was bad, things somehow got worse.
On Feb. 22, TikTok user @storytimewithrikkii shared some tea that was too good to ignore. She revealed that a picture of Jeramey, his (alleged) ex-fiance, and her son was posted to a Love Is Blind Facebook group by the ex-fiance’s mom, Jeni Gelven Daniel. In the comment section under the photo, Daniel revealed that the picture was taken in 2020 and that Jeramey had moved out at the end of 2022. She also revealed that Season was filmed in February or March of 2023, and that Jeramey and his ex-fiance had just sold their home. My jaw is on the floor. Her Campus reached out to Jeramey’s team for comment but did not hear back by the time of publication.
Before telling you more about this craziness, allow me to fill you in on Jeramey a bit. Laura and Jeramey got engaged in episode 5, met each other IRL, then vacationed with the other newly engaged couples in the Dominican Republic. Following the couples’ trip, Laura and Jeramey returned to reality and began living together before things started to get messy pretty quickly.
In episode 9, things got awkward when Jeramey met Laura’s family. During their conversation, Laura brought up another girl Jeramey dated in the pods (Sarah Ann), and mentioned how Sarah Ann DMed him on Instagram saying, “If you’re not sure about your choice I would appreciate meeting up with you.” It wasn’t until the end of the episode when sh*t really hit the fan.
Jeramey went out for a night on the town with other contestants from the pod and ended up hanging out with Sarah Ann until 5 AM in a parking lot. Though Jeramey told Laura nothing happened between him and Sarah Ann that night, she was convinced he was lying and brought out the receipts to prove it. Laura had his location and was checking it to see where he was. She mentioned that Jeramey was in fact at Sarah Ann’s home, or at a location close to where she lived.
It’s glaringly obvious that Jeramey does not treat Laura with respect, and it’s even more obvious that this might be a pattern! Let’s talk a little bit more about that Facebook post, and the receipts that the ex-fianceé has.
In episode 7, Laura goes over to Jeramey’s apartment where he tells her that he sold his previous house because he wanted a start fresh. But what he failed to mention was that the house he sold was one he (apparently) lived in with his ex-fiance. And trust, Jenni came through with receipts in those Facebook comments.
A user commented, “did he break up with her? Or was he still dating your daughter?” to which Jenni responded, “they are absolutely NOT TOGETHER since selling their house in 2023.” But y’all, the proof doesn’t stop there. Jeramey’s ex, who’s Instagram username is @brittmcliv also provided receipts on Laura’s Instagram post.
In the comment section, Britt wrote, “Did he ever tell you about his ex fiance from right before you? Surely not… or the house WE sold a week or two before he filmed for this show?” I have no words, truly.
She even tagging Laura in the comment section, writing, “@looo_bear just want all the info out there. You and Sarah Ann should know. I’m happy to share proof.” She also commented, “Peep the video of Layla and him in the snow on his Instagram. That was at our house and that’s me recording and talking.” I feel horrible for this woman and for Laura, but the fact that she’s coming through with the receipts is amazing.
So, were Jeramey and Britt together when he applied to be on Love Is Blind? On Feb. 23, Jeramey shared his side of the story in a video posted to Instagram — and even provided receipts of his own.
He noted that he brought up his previous engagement with women he had dates with while in the pods but explained that these conversations didn’t make it into the final cut.
Jeramey also claimed that he and Britt were no longer engaged when he applied to be on Love and Blind and that he was living alone before going on the show.
As for the house he and Britt apparently shared together, Jeramey said it was listed for sale once he was living on his own.
“This whole process had not even begun until I was out and on my own. Additionally, yes my home sold a week or two before filming.” he wrote in the caption. “Listed in October or November, sold in March. Wasn’t living in it while it was listed. Idk if anyone else was trying to sell a place at that specific time, but it was not a short process. Not going to give this one any more attention.
At this point, I don’t know who to believe. But what I do know is that I’m Team Laura and Team Britt. Justice for both of them!
