SNACK SMART, STUDY SMARTER: MY FAVORITE STUDY SNACKS

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Berkeley chapter.

We’ve all stared at our computer screens, wishing for motivation to hit us. For me, my motivation comes in the form of snacks. Snacks not only delight my taste buds, but also give me the fuel my brain needs to keep working hard and completing my homework and studying. Here are some of my favorite snacks that help keep my mind sharp.

1. Pocky

This popular Japanese snack is one of my favorites when working on an essay. Pocky is a package of thin biscuit sticks dipped in a sweet coating. It usually comes dipped in chocolate, but my personal favorite is strawberry. Numerous other flavors, such as matcha or cookies and cream, are also available. Its crunchy, sweet taste always makes it a satisfying snack.

2. Welch’s Fruit Snacks

While small in size, this snack packs a punch in taste. Their flavors range from grape, orange, strawberry, and more. These gummies are also fruit-shaped, inspired by what they’re flavored by! Their gummy texture and soft chewiness make them so enjoyable to munch on.

3. Goldfish

I think goldfish crackers are one of the best snacks of all time. I can enjoy it at any time of day for any activity, including studying. These goldfish-shaped crackers have many flavors, like pizza or vanilla cupcakes, but I usually stick with the original cheddar flavor when studying. It keeps your hands the cleanest. What’s not to love about their playful appearance and iconic smiley face? A tasty and cute snack is sometimes all we need to keep going.

4. Trail Mix

This treat is a combination of a bunch of snacks. Usually, the ones I eat have a mix of nuts, some dried fruit, and sunflower seeds. To top off all these healthy treats, trail mix usually has some candy, like chocolate! This diverse mix of food has a blend of flavors and tastes, like sweetness, saltiness, and some savoriness. Convenient and portable, trail mix is the perfect study companion.

5. Hummus and Pretzels

As I write this article, I’m enjoying this snack myself! Hummus is one of my favorite dips with its smooth, creamy texture. When you pair hummus with a crunchy, salty pretzel, the taste goes from good to great! Plus, this snack is quite healthy, providing the protein and fiber you need to replenish your energy and focus on working.

Next time you go shopping, consider adding these snacks to your cart. Finding the perfect study snack can make a huge difference in staying focused and energized during long study sessions. With a good snack, you’ll become more productive, energized, and sharp, ready to take on any assignment in your way
