Later, Michael had released Off the wall (1979) under his new agency Epic Records and produced by Quincy Jones. Off the wall was a new and fresh start because it was heavily influenced by the genres of pop and funk. Thanks to Off the wall’s fame, Jackson 5’s “album” Triumph sold more than 1 million copies and the brothers went on tour to support the recording. Then Michael, while trying new sounds, he achieved a massive success with his 6th album titled Thriller (1982), making this the best selling album of all time and took home 8 grammys. Thanks to Thriller’s release, Jackson’s fame rose even higher making him a musical phenomenon and well known as the king of pop. In conclusion, MJ’s biopic offers a candid and intimate portrayal of the legendary musician’s life, showcasing his immense talent, personal struggles, and lasting impact on the music industry.
